Adventures in Robbinsville

Two weekends ago, the Across Our Table gals got together to throw a small baby shower brunch for our lovely friend, Anne.  It was really just an excuse for us to get away, catch up, laugh, eat and, of course, drink lots of wine all while sitting at our favorite spot...the table.

The backdrop for our weekend was Lake Santeetlah in Robbinsville, NC.  You could feel the breeze of Fall, but it wasn't too cold and the leaves were changing more with every passing day.  It was perfect.  We were only there for the weekend, so we maximized our time together, but we did venture out on Saturday afternoon to my favorite store in this little mountain town, Wehrloom Honey.

I LOVE honey!  It is my sweetener of choice and the folks at Wehrloom Honey really know how to do it right.  Not only do the sell a wide variety of honey blends and types, soaps, lotions and candles, they also offer beekeeping classes!  So, whenever I'm up that way, I always make a point to stop by and get some honey and check out the bees.

Now, lets talk my favorites.  I love Wehrloom's Cinnamon honey for my coffee or on waffles (pumpkin waffles from Trader Joes), the Lavender honey for my tea or biscuits, and the Vanilla Bean and Cinnamon Spun honeys for toast and breads.  Wehrloom's honey is all natural and they never use chemicals, treatments, or antibiotics in their hives...that's why it's so tasty.

Bonus: You don't have to make a special trip to Graham County just to taste this honey.  You can buy it online HERE! Although, if you do make it up won't be disappointed.
