Our Remodel, Phase 1

Happy Monday! I have been wanting to walk you through our house, but I figure that in order to give you a full understanding of what we have done, you must go through it in phases. You see, The Mr. and I live in his great grandmothers house, and the day I was told that this was happening, I cried. Like, the terror was real. I couldn't see past the 7 foot ceilings, painted paneling, and green linoleum floors. Home keeping is kind of my thing, and finding out that this was what I had to work with, was my Nam. Thankfully, Nate informed me that he wanted to remodel the house before moving in. Whew!

We decided to start from the inside and do a full gut and remodel. It was important for use to open up the space, and we worked with our contractors to figure out how to raise the ceilings and open up all the separated rooms.

Here are the before pictures:

Okay, so here is the fist phase of remodel we did in 2012. Mind you, we have made quite a few changes since then. I will also include a picture of the outside, even though we did this later.

This was the original master bedroom remodel. We combined the existing small master bedroom with the sunroom to make a bigger room. With our newest addition finished, this is now a guest room.
