I'm not a parent, but I am an aunt to two precious little boys ages 3 and 1. I take my job as Aunt Claire very seriously and part of that job is winning at gift giving. I pride myself on finding fun toys that the boys will love. Here are some of my greatest gift hits:
I just gave my 3 year nephew a Richard Scarry board game for his birthday and he was completely engaged. He started playing with all the little parts immediately, even before the grown-ups had a chance to read the rules.
Wheely Bugs are the cutest toys ever! This hedgehog went to my 1 year old nephew for his birthday. Right now he uses it as a push toy and loves zooming around the house. When he gets big enough to ride it, I'm sure the fun will continue.
It's probably not surprising, but Legos are always a crowd pleaser. They provide hours of entertainment, and I love building tall towers with the boys. These Duplo Legos are the perfect size for little toddler hands.
I love anything Radio Flyer! This big wheel is great because the seat is adjustable. That way as your little one grows, they can still use it! Make sure you give yourself some time to assemble it. It actually took a little longer than I thought it would!
I loved Highlights magazine when I was a kid. Now, Highlights publishes multiple magazines for different age groups. My oldest nephew really loves books, so I will be getting him a subscription for High Five (for ages 2-6) for Christmas. I think it's going to be a hit.
I'm always looking for fun toy ideas for the boys. If you have any suggestions, I would love to know about them!
Thanks for reading!
