Where I Will Be Shopping For My Birthday!

It's my birthday! I like to do a little shopping for myself, and I love hitting up the awesome stores in the Asheville area! If you live in the southeast but not in Asheville, chances are you will make your way up here at some point. Whether you are visiting the Biltmore, checking out the breweries, or just on a mountain getaway, you are sure to notice that Asheville has some pretty awesome home and furniture stores. It is fun for me to rummage through the vintage stores and find the perfect pieces for my home. I love living near shops that offer unique pieces that make big statements. Here are the places I hit up when I am looking for furniture, decor, and home goods.

This shop is beautifully curated and surprisingly, the prices are reasonable. There are both vintage items and new pieces. This is a great place to stop into if you are walking around downtown.

Local Antique Market

If you love midcentury modern pieces like I do, you will love this spot.  They have beautiful vintage pieces that will create statements in your home.

This is another great downtown spot. It is stocked with unique midcentury modern pieces that are crafted to perfection.

Restoration Hardware Outlet

Because it's a Restoration Hardware. And it's an outlet.

West Elm Outlet

Again, because it's West Elm. And it's an outlet.

Oddfellows Antiques

This antique store is located right next to Local Antiques Market, and it is well known in the Asheville Antique world. Their pieces are beautiful, unique, and are made with great craftsmanship. You can find some one of a kind pieces in here.

The Tobacco Barn

This is probably the biggest and most famous of all of the antique and rummage stores in Asheville.  It is definitely worth the trip.  There are numerous booths in which some sellers are charging a lot for a little and others in which you can find some unique finds for a really good deal.  They are helpful and if you go with cash, you can really go a long way in trying to work with the seller to bring down the asking price. The only down side to the Tobacco Barn is that it can be overwelming with how large and full of items it is.

The Screen Door

This one is a personal favorite of mine.  It is also a warehouse with booths, but the items are styled nicely and I find that this makes the place easier to navigate.  Once again, you will be able find some good deals but you do have to wade through the overpriced.

TJ Maxx

This TJ Maxx homegoods section is surprisingly good. It is a great place to stock up on decorative items. It is always a place I hit up when I am looking for an affordable option for my home.

Target's Threshold line is fantastic, and I have found some great pieces for the home here. I love how they change things up for each season, and it allows me to get things on trend without breaking the bank.
